Please add the ability to close the keyboard manually...

Good idea, maybe a little button top left... But to see what you are writing the keyboard must be out from emulator window ... or another button, to the right of the button to hide the keyboard, for a good transparency mode, to see while one is writing.

I'll check if a sheet can be reopened as a stand-alone window. This would be necessary, if a "sticky" keyboard is offered in addition to the currently implemented version (auto-closing sheet).

For quick actions, the "auto-close" keyboard is excellent, but a second keyboard-keyboard may be very useful for typing during viewing and could help some people who have problems and can only use the mouse. I would like to keep these two keyboards: the fast one as it is now is very good: from the toolbar, in addition it takes one in the window that can be recalled from the menu (or can be recalled with a button from the "auto-close" window) and remains open while you type and you close it with a button on the top left (or something else).

Please have a look at 2.5 beta 1:

http://www.dirkwhoffmann.de/virtualc64/VirtualC64_2.5_beta1.zip

If the virtual keyboard is opened via the toolbar, everything is as before. If you open it via the keyboard menu (select "Open ..."), it opens as a separate window and does not close when hitting a key.

This beta also contains the recent VICII changes (Vandalism demo fix) as well as some minor changes to the IEC bus handler. Please let me know if I broke some stuff that was working before.

It works perfectly, I have not encountered any problems. Opening both keyboards does not cause conflicts because first you need to press a key on the "quick" keyboard, a good choice. I'm really satisfied, these two virtual keyboards are great, thanks.

There is a bug with the keyboard. Try using the the c= key or the shift key and then type a any character numerous times. It only shows the correct character the first time....

"Try using the the c= key or the shift key and then type a any character numerous times."

Will be fixed in 2.5
