Only the stats.wp.com and pixel.wp.com subdomains are trackers (tracking sites hosted on wordpress.com). Blocking the entire wp.com domain breaks "legitimate" product features of wordpress.com, e.g., ones shipped as embeddable widget iframes from widgets.wp.com.
