I have installed the Disconnect plugin for both FF and Chrome. The Facebook and Twitter buttons were prevented from loading on pages containing them. However, the Google Plusone button [1] did still load and offered Google that much craved cookie.

Thanks, Bart! I’m not sure why yet, but you’re right — we’re not blocking +1 buttons anymore. We’ll push a fix tomorrow.
