Firefox still trying to connect to Search after being removed + causing Firefox to not function #9

"I have downloaded Disconnect for Firefox but decided to remove it. But my browser still wants to connect to the Disconnect server. I cannot open some homepages or any links on google anymore. I always get this message now:

"Forbidden You don't have permission to access..."

I am using an older version of Firefox (16.0.2.) running on a Mac OS X 10.5.8 system."
