Currently, there is an issue with Diabot where, if people want to pull up their blood sugar with Diabot, they are required to create and set up a new Nightscout instance. The problem is that Nightscout requires a somewhat technical and often difficult setup that may require troubleshooting, maintenance, along with further issues that may arise when they're only setting it up for usage with Diabot.
Sugarmate, is a much simpler and more user-friendly alternative to Nightscout. Many people already have Sugarmate set up and installed on their devices and allowing the Sugarmate API (example seen here) to be integrated with Diabot would save many people the time and effort it takes to set up and maintain a Nightscout.
