then why ignore what's right in front of you now?
We don't. They can ask for help on a supported distro if it happens on all (tested) distros
You do, and you're showing an example of it now.
"Why ignore it?" "We don't, but we do because..."
That's your rebuttal.
That doesn't make any sense. You can ask for help on supported distros, you cannot ask for help on unsupported distros. It's very simple.
But the issue isn't always related to the specific distribution.
Yes, and once that issue happens on a supported distribution, they can ask for help with it.
Okay, it's obvious you're stuck in your ways. Feel free to close this.
From kruug🐉 : There needs to be a realization between the difference of the spirit of a rule and the letter of the rule. Distro-agnostic issues should be allowed to be discussed, even if the person asking for support is on an unapproved distribution. If the problem is found to be because they're using such a distribution, fine. But ignoring valid issues because they happen to currently be on the wrong flavor isn't good. If it's reproducible on any distribution, then why ignore what's right in front of you now?
