v0.9.3.7b Bug List #149

Open Silverlet opened 1 year ago

Silverlet commented 1 year ago

This is a list of bugs that I have seen or experienced while hosting since the recent update, some of these might be rare cases, others seem to always happen.

ROLES Veteran Mod players are sometimes (or always?) not able to use Alert. Escort Is given a 50 second long CD after meeting. Also appears to completely break other players and perm roleblock them.

Hitman/Survivor/Opportunist: Might be caused by the settings I have enabled, but the mod kills all of the final players which causes these three roles to always lose. AgiTater: If AgiTater decides to pass bomb, they instead give the bomb to themselves and can never pass it off. Could be that it was given back and AgiTater can't repass. Coven Leader: Coven Leader, for non-mod clients, can not kill or puppet players. Works fine for Host. Hex Master: For non-mod clients, Hex Master can not Hex. Works fine for Host.

MODIFIERS Obvious: Is instead given out as a role. Also, when Lovers are enabled, the Lover settings show below Obvious. This is confusing, I thought it might be a Lover setting.

INTERACTIONS Venting Will enter the vent instead of activating ability. Possibly universal. (Werewolf, Veteran, Survivor at the least) Shapeshifting When Mod players Shapeshift, they are kicked from the match (at least in the first round?). Does not kick mod-clients. Guessing When a Guesser runs the /shoot show command, bot glitches out and spams the chat with periods.

ToS Death Announcement If one of the killed players leaves, the death announcement will stop after it reaches them. It will say "died last round" and not continue.

EDIT For non-mod players (at least) Investigator does not get any information from interacting with other players.

If Vampire is the cause of death, ToS Death Announcement says the player Suicided instead of being killed by Impostor.

I disabled Puppeteer from killing fellow Imps, but when Puppeteer marked Parasite, Parasite killed Puppeteer.

Sometimes when the lobby is recreated, the role numbers or amounts will change. Like Bodyguard might be set to 1 and be increased to 11. It always increases to 11. If an ability has a limited amount of uses under 11, it might randomly be set to 11. In addition, if a Crew role is set to 2, it sometimes glitches out on game start and puts 4 of the role in. I.e. 4 Sabotage Masters instead of 2, or 4 Mayors.

The /shoot show dots is NOT a glitch. It is intentional to hide who the guesser is.

Ah alright, my bad. Is there a way to auto send a message at start of a meeting to let players know that happens when a Guesser uses a command?

You can turn off the periods-spam by disabling "Hide Command" under Assassin settings.

Non-host clients always enter the vent, even when it's just needed for their ability to activate. They instead have a max-in-vent-duration of 1 second. They should still get the ability.

For the kick after shapeshifting, blame Innersloth for their stupid anti-cheat.

You can turn off the periods-spam by disabling "Hide Command" under Assassin settings. Okay, this is my bad. I should've realized that enabling this setting would account for all Guessers since they all use the same command. Non-host clients always enter the vent, even when it's just needed for their ability to activate. They instead have a max-in-vent-duration of 1 second. They should still get the ability. The max-in-vent-duration of 1 second basically instant kicks them out. But every time so far the venter has not been kicked out and has instead been able to vent as if they are Engineer. I'm not sure about all, but Werewolf at least does not get their Rampage activated.

Werewolf (for non-host clients) doesn't work, like at all. First of all, there is the issue you mentioned. Second of all, non-host clients are unable to kill multiple times in a short period of time (like under a time span of 10 seconds), this is the problem with bounty hunter as well. This means non-host clients could only kill once per rampage, which ruins the whole point of werewolf. So, I recommend playing wtihout it until a solution is found.

Werewolf (for non-host clients) doesn't work, like at all. First of all, there is the issue you mentioned. Second of all, non-host clients are unable to kill multiple times in a short period of time (like under a time span of 10 deconds), this is the problem with bounty hunter as well. This means non-host clients could only kill once per rampage, which ruins the whole point of werewolf. So, I recommend playing wtihout it until a solution is found.

Alright, thanks for helping me figure out how to avoid some of the bugs, appreciate your work and commitment. 😃
