Doesn't work with CC2019... #18

15 October 2018, Adobe released the next updates - CC2019 - for their digital video applications. Unfortunately, if one has updated CC2018 to CC2019 and now tries to install this excellent exporter, the installer gives the error message "could not find installation of Premiere Pro". Would be great to get this updated to install in CC2019 versions.

I added Premiere 2018 (as well as all of 2019) just to get past the installer looking for Premiere 2018. Installed and appears to be working in AME 2019.

This should hopefully be fixed in the current build undergoing testing. Can be found on the releases page as the 1.0.9-RC1 prerelease.

Greg: well while HAP codec now works in the latest CC19 encoder, the ALPHA is 'not' working. You can export using HAP ALPHA and D3 can read it, but you cannot import those HAP files back into After effects or Premiere with alpha! Adobe soft does not recognize the alpha! Only After effects v15 and older makes good HAP alpha's that can be read back into the adobe system.

@Joske2 I've opened #25 for your issue

Works quite good for me But wbni installer could put the presets in MediaIO\systempresets folders (both AME and PPRO)

Hey Gregster - can't seem to get your baby working with AE or Media Encoder 2019 at all.. it just isn't showing up in the list of codecs when exporting. Or am I doing something wrong?

GregBakker commented 5 years ago

It should show up in the list of system presets, as per these screenshots: https://github.com/disguise-one/hap-encoder-adobe-cc/blob/master/doc/user_guide/README.md

but a couple of people have reported an issue of the plugin not showing up. Unfortunately they didn't get back with us with information to reproduce the issue - so you could be THE person to help here!

Questions: Mac or Windows? Where is your copy of Adobe CC installed to? The default location? Or some other spot?

Thanks, Greg

Hey sorry for the delayed response - going at it like crazy atm, you know what it’s like ;-)

We did get it to show up, though the animator was mixing up things; he could only get it to show up in Media Encoder or Premiere, but not in AE.

Metadata: Mac (10.14.3) default Adobe CC install (2019), up to date

Anyway, now he’s running into this one:

Whenever adding jobs from AE to Media Encoder, “Reading XMP…” stays on for forever. (we left if once and a few hours later it was still “reading”). When we export as prores first and THEN add to Media Encoder, it works fine. This is the current workaround.

Hope you’re good X T

Hello, I am still running into this issue and I am unable to reinstall Premier 2018 as it is no longer available in the adobe creative cloud. Does anyone have a solution for this? image

afelicirai commented 5 years ago

Yes indeed... Premiere Pro 2018 (v 12.x) is available Go to the menu near "Open" and follow the submenus

Apologies - closed the wrong ticket. Please also see #27 for a list of alternative paths for presets - possibly moving the file to one of these locations could help - any assistance would be appreciated.

GregBakker commented 4 years ago

Believe bugs related to 'export taking forever' are fixed, as are some related to preset creation and editing. Current testing is for 1.2.0-rc1 milestone; logging this issue against that.

GregBakker commented 4 years ago

The new release candidate is up (for macos at least, windows in next 24h) at https://github.com/disguise-one/hap-encoder-adobe-cc/releases/tag/1.2.0-rc1
