If you install the latest demo of VDMX, does it correctly install the HAP codecs for you? VDMX Demo download

This plugin isn't compatible with Apple Silicone. It shows up if you run AE using Rosetta but will run at reduced performance. If you leave the compatibility alert active you'll see something like this when you launch AE. Screen Shot 2023-02-02 at 2 18 43 PM

Confirmed, this workaround also works with Adobe Media Encoder. When running in Rosetta, the HAP plugin is loaded and available for selection in formats. To run under Rosetta, check the option in Get Info on the AME application.
