Very nice submission, I can imagine this providing significant utility in this space as a trusted source for reference and reputation. I think it would be pretty cool to see an integration with 1Hive (or similar) project to integrate contracts and payment mechanisms on the platform as well. It could even keep track of the security deposit and maybe even pay your rent in Crypto!
A couple of initial hurdles I see:
Should probably share ideas with #141 & #51
I think a larger complex rental platform would be a good development. I submitted #141 and picture a rental site much like Airbnb but with a token, either a new one or use one of the existing ones.
Hi @basiccrypto , I don't think this comes in competition with real estate ad sites, not at the beginning, the purpose of the site is to review apartments without the consent of the owner who would never create an online ad. I think that by pointing out the street and civic and putting some photos you can easily recognize an apartment at the time of the first visit.
When the owners start publishing their ads, the site will compete with those sites you say, but it would already have a solid user base. At this point it would be very interesting to integrate it with 1Hive and similar for the management of online payments, imagine that you could also manage a guarantee in case the tenant does not pay the rent.
There is little to do to combat the inaccuracy of reviews, the owner's response should be the best way to fight them, an arrogant owner can also be recognized by the way he responds, as it happens on TripAdvisor for restaurants.
Hi @Edenwold1 , i think that with a rental platform you'd put yourself in direct competition with monsters like Airbnb, Zillow, Redfin etc... and you wouldn't get much visibility.
My idea opens up to a completely virgin world, you would collect users who rent on those sites, those who rent from newspapers, those who maybe find the ad on the street and with an app linked to our site could already have a first review of the house.
To clarify - you want people to post the address and photos of inside of where they are currently living for pretty much free?
I can see issues with that.
@imdying Obviously not, nobody would do it to avoid problems with the owner and for privacy, but once left the house they could safely tell what was fine and what not, if there have been discussions with the owner etc.... such as in a restaurant or hotel.
However, I mean photos of some detail, for example a mould stain or a nice kitchen.
Reviewers can be rewarded by the readers and a percentage of the fee that the owner pays to answer.
Another issue with this proposal is that over time these issues change drastically. While you may have had issues with the HVAC, a year later someone is having plumbing or roach infestations issues. The length of a lease is a major issue here.
Also, the lack of incentive to do this is certainly a show stopper for most. It's basically a review platform for individual properties with tiny turnover.
Note: I run a property management software company.
Hey @foco00
I'm not sure if you're aware but we recently launched a new bounty to migrate your proposals to the actual District Registry: https://registry.district0x.io/
We're replacing the old voting app with the registry. Let me know if you need help but I would love to see you migrate this over so you can claim your DNT.
It does take a 10,000 DNT submit to submit your proposal but this gives you an extra 2000 you can stake in the registry beyond the deposit amount.
Hit me up on Telegram or Discord if you need help or have questions.

PS, please excuse the canned response. I am encouraging everyone here to start migrating so they can claim their 12000 DNT.
Hey Bradym
I am now a founder of a worldwide crypto project uffsports.com. We have done a lot of development but we are looking to take things to the next level. Could you look at our project and maybe suggest what steps we should take to possibly building a relationship with your project.

Hey @Edenwold1
Sure! Looking now.
Hey @Edenwold1,
I took a look and I think there are a few areas that make sense for your project to leverage. BTW the platform looks fun!
If you submit a district proposal to the District Registry, you would then have an Aragon entity and staking mechanism for people to use. This would allow your supporters to stake DNT in exchange for your governance token, giving your community the say in all governance actions and decisions. You can even allow anyone to create proposals to vote on within your community as you make changes and evolve your platform.
If enough people stake DNT towards your district for UFF Sports, you could even have us help you build it as the next official district integrating with everything we're building.
This could allow your marketplace to be more modular, access to network exclusive ancillary services offered by community members or auxiliary apps. You could even have access to cross district functionality if you chose to do so. Not to mention you would receive the 500k DNT for your district becoming the next official district.
This could be used for bounties, staking to other districts, voting, challenging other districts, and even other more exotic things like liquidity mining, or other incentive structures for your community.
It really depends on how you want to approach it. Much of what we have built could prevent you from "reinventing the wheel" too. I hope this helps give you some ideas though. Happy to chat in you want. Hit me up in the community.
Name: RentAdvisor
Purpose: The purpose is to let you know the qualities and defects of a house before signing a contract, even the owner could have a history of the tenant.
Description: I have rented houses for many years and every time there has been something that I haven't noticed during the visits to the apartments, a house too hot or too cold, a landlord who doesn't want to repair something that doesn't work, neighbors harassing.
Every time I could only promise to be alert and ask more questions to real estate agents, but they often lie.... how to trust them?
From here I got the idea for this platform that I will develop even if it doesn't become a district, at a legal level of course you can't be too specific on the single apartment / owner, but you can publish a review with the address and photos, it would be very useful and legal. I would encourage reviewers with donations from readers.
I would allow the owners to manage their properties and respond to comments by paying fees, later they could publish the rent ads directly by paying RentAdvisor.
RentAdvisor would gain from the following points: Sale of advertising space on the site Subscription fee paid by the owners who want to manage their apartment, they will be able to respond to the reviews (paying a fee), upload photos and create a real rental announcement. *Sale of rent ads with the possibility of highlighting them by paying a fee
Later on, you could include insurance products to be offered to owners and tenants, RentAdvisor would gain from the sale of these.
Thank you for your attention, write to me for other information.
