Purpose: The main objective of this district is to create a decentralized adult webcam service. The big names in the market today take roughly 50% of the tips that models earn. Cam district will give 100% of the tips directly to the models.

New York Times reported that industry analysts and executives estimate the industry brings in around $1 billion in annual revenue. Recently, big names like Chaturbate are starting to accept bitcoins as a form of payment. Crypto currency is starting to gain ground in the field of adult entertainment due to its anonymity and ease of use.

I believe it will be a huge thing to create a decentralized webcam service where models have a sense of security without someone taking advantage of them. Some people have no choice but to do this as a living and a system where 50% of their pay is taken does not seem fair. This fact alone will attract a lot of users knowing that the money they are tipping is going straight to the models and not a third party of any kind. This will also drastically bring the price down for any transaction between the user and the model.

In a growing crypto world, this will the first of its kind. It will create a system where it will benefit parties from all sides without any third party to take advantage. This will also be a great project to bring attention to what district0x is truly trying to create. I encourage you all to look past the “adult entertainment” aspect of this, but to look at the potential of this industry in the crypto world.

I had the exact same idea couple of days ago, and I think it's a great one! During the first stream I asked Brady if the Team would allow adult industry content, to which he responded there is a merit to this kind of district, but it would cause Team big legal issues due to the fact that every country has different laws when it comes to this industry. Although I agree with Brady, I think it can be done by blocking certain countries or something, after all, there are many sites in the exact same industry that are successfully operating for years now.

From the eyes of the stakers, how would you monetize this district? If all the tips are going directly to the models, would there be some kind of subscriptions a piece of which would go to the stakers of this district?

I see a lot of issues here, first of all in terms of image to the district0x project, while some of the investors are sufficiently unbiased towards this kinda market, some others may just flee away in fear of regulations

Secondly is the possibility to foster pedophilia and protect the offenders more than the victims. Porn industry while certainly representing a good business for those who run it, are avoided by investors and mutual funds because of the potential shutdown ordered by governments.

Thirdly, how to monetize it? If we stakers take a cut wouldn't that be equivalent to those who are leaving off of those girls and boys work?

I will try to answer some questions and concerns below

I can understand why some investors will see this as a risk due to regulations by the government. However this is a billion dollar market with plenty of websites like the one I am proposing. The only difference is that it is decentralized without taking 50% of the money that the models are making. I will explain below how to monetize it. Regulations are there and we will follow them just like all other cam sites that are there now. With these regulations, there will be strict rules to avoid pedophelia etc. Remember, we will still be following all the rules that these websites are following now. That is not changing.

In terms of monetizing I am thinking of introducing a native token that the users will use to tip the models. Each token will be worth x amount of money. When the users buy these tokens, we will add a service fee which will go to the stakers. This way the model will still receive 100% of the tips and we will still have a way to monetize it. Another option is to also add a subscription based option.

This way it is important to note the value of this token is double what chaturbate or other sites offer. Let's say a model requires 200 tokens for a flash. In reality it is 100 tokens because chaturbate will take 50%. On cam district the user will only tip 100 tokens to buy get the same goods so in reality they are saving money.

This is just a thought off the top of my head. I am open to any suggestions.
