Name

Serv4u by eric11

Purpose

Our district will be a decentralized Marketplace for people who do any kind of services for a house: Cleaners, gardeners, handyman, small constructions… the idea is to offer a marketplace of people that can do any kind of task to keep a house in good conditions. this marketplace would help not only to particular that need to outsource some task but also to professional that manage a lot of houses ( e.g. people who manage a lot of houses in a holidays rentals platform like AirBnB) and need the services. We want to become a go to place for everyone that need a service in a direct contact between the supplier and the petitioner.

Description

The functionality of the district would be:

There are two kind of users: Those who offer their services. Suppliers. Those who require the service. Petitioners.

You can be part of both groups if you want.

Suppliers register in the marketplace and offer what they can do. They will show their fee per hour and the availability. They will have a rate depending on the valuation of the petitioners.

Petitioners register in the marketplace and choose a supplier who can do what they need. Petitioners will have a rating too. Depending on the valuation of the suppliers that did any job for them before.

Petitioners may seek a supplier based on different criteria, the fee, the location, the rating….. Supplier can accept or not an offer. There will be a ranking to highlight the suppliers with better reputation.

The Serv4U Token (S4U)

S4U will be used throughout the whole district. It will serve to pay suppliers and we will reward to any person who take part of the marketplace to generate a great network effect.

So its like tokenized Taskrabbit, right?

Will the service fee affected by local minimum wage laws?

fastdraw07 commented 7 years ago

Good idea, but need more detail.

Jsw11 commented 7 years ago

Hi @NSamii yes taskrabbit is a good example but Serv4U will include cleaning service that is service very demanded for people who use holiday rent platform. and this cleaning service could include the checkin or checkout of the house. Of course we will do tokenized and decentralized. About service fee I think wage laws will not affect. If we work with blockchain...

thanks for your time @NSamii !!

Hi @fastdraw07 . About what exactly do you need more detail?

Bradymck commented 7 years ago

Can I ask what the purpose of the token would be? Would people be required to use this and what other utility would it have? Just curious why you can't let people use anything to pay

Jsw11 commented 7 years ago

Hi @mckmuze. The purpose of using its own currency is that will be use not only to pay but to reward the person to take part of the district. to encourage the networking effect. and there is no problem to convert that token to another more used or common.. I think that will be automatic in a soon future.

Bradymck commented 7 years ago

Interesting. What challenges do you see in bringing this to fruition after it was launched as a district? How do you propose you would address those challenges?

Bradymck commented 4 years ago

Hey @Jsw11

I'm not sure if you're aware but we recently launched a new bounty to migrate your proposals to the actual District Registry: https://registry.district0x.io/

We're replacing the old voting app with the registry. Let me know if you need help but I would love to see you migrate this over so you can claim your DNT.

It does take a 10,000 DNT submit to submit your proposal but this gives you an extra 2000 you can stake in the registry beyond the deposit amount.

Hit me up on Telegram or Discord if you need help or have questions.

PS, please excuse the canned response. I am encouraging everyone here to start migrating so they can claim their 12000 DNT.
