7 years ago I think a categorization feature is needed to help similar district ideas be merged into a single boiled down or general purpose district. This could come with an incentive for a curation and idea submission system that rewards people for submitting ideas that are similar or have synergy with other districts or district proposals.

7 years ago It's like a homepage/forum/centre of the district community. Like a market square where village people meet each other and discuss recent events etc. This looks like a must have imo. Good job!

7 years ago Thank you @morice1! I'm very excited about the district0x project as a whole and am very passionate about helping build this overall ecosystem. I also believe this is a "must have" as the entire cryptocurrency space is lacking an overall sense of organization - no pun intended here, but the decentralized aspect of blockchain/cryptocurrency means we need to CONSCIOUSLY create structure, together as a community. I appreciate your feedback and encouragement on my proposal. I hope this can make it to the voting booth so the community can determine if this is something we could use to grow together and then upward!
Still unsure what the status of this proposal is, but it's understanding considering the district0x team has received quite a few district proposals! Can't take them lightly considering this is the future of the ecosystem and community. What happens with district proposals becomes the seed of district0x's future :)

Name: 1stPlace District or 1stDistrict
Purpose: The purpose of this district is to create a district ranking system that allows District0x community members to: A. District discovery - Discover new districts B. District education - Learn about each district and why it is unique C. District rankings & stats - Learn about the quality of each district, how many members there are, past District0x Network Token governance votes, upcoming events and votes, announcements, and other relevant information for that district. D. District-creation motivation - Motivate district-creators to move up in the rankings E. District Value Creation - which districts are earning the most fee revenue? This provides District0x community members with an idea of which districts are providing the most value to their own district AND District0x as a whole.

The idea is to use 1stPlace.eth to further stimulate the Name Bazaar and create functionality with other ERC20 tokens if that district happens to be another blockchain token ecosystem. I foresee other blockchain tokens utilizing District0x because of Aragon's governance system. I'm not 100% sure what the ranking system looks like yet, but this might include various forms of voting via staking; Reddit style upvoting; or some sort of algorithmic equation that takes a vast amount of District0x data and ranks the districts based on specific data the District0x team finds relevant and valuable to the District0x ecosystem.
For example, I'm also a part of the Mooncoin ecosystem. Mooncoin is a lightning chain created for micro-payments. It's open-source and the original developer passed away due to health issues. since then, the Mooncoin community has been struggling to move forward with our blockchain technology. I'm not exactly sure how Aragon's governance system looks or how the functionality of it works, but I've been speaking with the current Mooncoin community leadership about potentially crating a MoonLand district in order for us to better govern our community - allows us to create our own governance.
1stPlace District or 1stDistrict gives the Mooncoin community a location to learn about how other districts are governing themselves and can take away from examples to implement into our own community. Implementing this type of ranking/wiki system encourages other blockchain ecosystems to merge with Ethereum's to join the District0x to create things like a $MOON/$DNT exchange, for example. Without a central location for ranking, data, and community information, it becomes harder for people to join the community.
