Name: Project Management district

Purpose:

The objective of this platform would be to help you executing any kind of project where you can count with the help of the different community members. Few examples could be:

Organizing your wedding, a birthday party, a concert or any kind of event
Producing a movie
Publishing a book
Recording a music album
Creating a new app or business

Description:

Imagine you write stories, and you would love to publish a book. But you need an illustrator, a designer, and a proof reader. The Project Management district, would allow you to submit a request to the community, receive proposals and coordinate the different actors within the project towards the achievement of your goal.

Required features:

User profiles would be needed, including a CV, portfolio, a voting system to show your popularity and reputation, etc.
The invoicing system to distribute payments within the team members accordingly
Project Management basic features like calendars, task management, meeting scheduling, chat, file archiving, etc.
Patron or crowdfunding through community voting system: anyone can create value by either creating their own projects, or curating projects from others.

Engagement strategy to grow the community:

This could be advertised in any known social media platform like LinkedIn or Facebook, and also within specialized forums and webs (taking the previous example, writers forums and blogs).
Similar to steemit.com, users can generate their own profit by:
1. Either creating their own entries (in this case projects).
2. Creating content (for example, if you want to see your level of popularity increase, you could write posts talking about your services, etc).
3. Curating posts and projects from others.

Engagement with other Districts

Working in a project, may require to connect to the services provided by other districts, llke Ethlance, AudioPool or LocalFreshFood. This connection, would ideally work as follows:
1. Any member from the Project, may send a request to any other professional listed within any of the existing districts. This would appear as a request from the Project Management District.
2. The User from the other district, can join the Project as team member within Project Mgmt District.

Creation of value is what keeps a community alive!

This is really cool! Sort of like creating a team for a task if I understood correctly.

I think this could work with ethlance as well, to assemble teams using their pool of freelancers. And imo a layer like LinkedIn connections would be great (helps with assessing reputation and mutual friends).

Ideally Project Management basic features like task management would be directly linked to some smartcontracts/states?

I like the idea but there is some serious overlap with Ethlance.

@quantumdwayne : Well, the way I see it, is not really overlapping, but collaborating. Ehtlance is a job market; the idea here would be to coordinate activities from different actors - maybe pulled from Ethlance - to participate within a project team.

If I could make a gantt chart with my project, fill in all the sub tasks, budgets and the skills required and it would spit out a list of "work orders" to the community and handle all the payments, messaging and invoices this would be insanely useful.

I foresee it would only work for internet-based work. Localisation could be built in later thought (e.g. I need a headshot of person x in NY 24/2/2019 - work order sent to NY photographers).

The RepEx district I suggested could be used to import reputation from freelancer.com etc...

I'm not sure if you're aware but we recently launched a new bounty to migrate your proposals to the actual District Registry: https://registry.district0x.io/

We're replacing the old voting app with the registry. Let me know if you need help but I would love to see you migrate this over so you can claim your DNT.

It does take a 10,000 DNT submit to submit your proposal but this gives you an extra 2000 you can stake in the registry beyond the deposit amount.
