Typo - Mark Pigrim #9

Closed dharamgollapudi closed 12 years ago

dharamgollapudi commented 12 years ago

Typo in the second paragraph.

Notice anything different? Mark Pigrim has stopped maintaining this project, and we want it to continue. We're not just patching broken links and updating APIs. We plan to actively maintain it; refreshing, updating, and reflecting the relevant and current state of HTML5, just as it had been during Mark's tenure. We attribute this work in the manner specified by Mark, which is why we've kept the name, purchased a similar domain, and have made the modification to the site's tagline. We do not in any way suggest that he endorses us or our use of his work. We hope you do.

Mark Pigrim -> Mark Pilgrim

Keep up the good work.

I'm a bit confused. Is this a call to collaborate on this repo to keep it maintained, or what?

macfreek commented 12 years ago

@kennethreitz: No, I'm pretty sure this is a call to simply fix the typo (really, just add a "l" right there between the "i" and the "g").

kennethreitz commented 12 years ago

OH, I see. Thanks.

macfreek commented 12 years ago

Ah, now I see. The bug reporter and I noted the typo on http://diveintohtml5.info/ and followed the link on http://diveintohtml5.info/about.html, leading to this repository.

I just noticed this repository contains the pages as published on http://diveintohtml5.ep.io/, which are different from the pages as published on http://diveintohtml5.info/. This is confusing... (If someone which github version and which online site are the most maintained, it would be great for the community to focus on that github and that site).

macfreek commented 12 years ago

Please close this issue; with the merger the text with this typo no longer occurs on the Dive into HTML5 website(s).

We now collab on this repo! Yay!
