It would be great if more flexible pie chart types could be integrated in the 
future, in particular 3D pie charts as in

In its current form, Core Plot cannot support true 3D plots. It is based on 
Core Animation which uses a 2D drawing model. You currently can create some 
pseudo-3D effects using shadows and overlay layers but you cannot exactly 
duplicate any of the plots linked above.
