Issues with the new rMarkable version #30

After updating to 2.6.2.75, the following types of problems appear when launching draft:

parsing file 01-xochitl file:///usr/share/draft/qml/MenuItem.qml:15: TypeError: Cannot read property 'right' of null file:///usr/share/draft/qml/MenuItem.qml:14: TypeError: Cannot read property 'left' of null Creating window ...

Hi,

Unfortunately all(?) built applications are currently unusable on 2.6 due to some architectural changes.

Currently the best strategy is to manually downgrade to 2.5 I'm afraid :(

There is work being done in toltec to address this though

Do you know if there are news about this? Has the idea of adapting it been discarded?

Hey, apologies, I'm currently wrapping up a PhD which is sapping all of my available time and energy. I would recommend using an alternative launcher for the time being!

There has been a new release of toltec (https://github.com/toltec-dev/toltec/releases/tag/2021-W40-1). Now should it work? What should be done? If not, what are the alternative launchers?

The build in toltec should be working all the way up to 2.9 or further. It also hosts other launcher: https://toltec-dev.org/stable/
