Fresh Install - No connection to the bridge #833

Closed Xorfee closed 2 years ago

Xorfee commented 2 years ago

Describe the issue

After fresh install of my bridge, I am not able to pair the bridge with hue essentials or homebridge anymore

Steps you tried

  1. Fresh install of my Raspberry PI (Docker / Compose installed)
  2. Tried to set up diyHue via Hostinstall (not helped)
  3. Deinstalled Host instance and used Docker instead with MAC Adress provided for Host and Bridge Mode (IP was provided)
  4. Installed / reinstalled Hue essentials on IOS several times

How we can help

Installed Hue essentials in the latest version, Raspberry PI on the latest version. Nothing helped at all

Can you tell what Hue Essentials is show on screen after you try to pair? Are the env variables set correctly with the values of the eth0 interface of the Rapsbery PI ?

image

It shows nothing

And to the second point I am not sure how to do this

mariusmotea commented 2 years ago

use ip a command.

Example:

marius@raspberrypi:~ $ ip a
1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 65536 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN group default qlen 1000
    link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00
    inet 127.0.0.1/8 scope host lo
       valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever
    inet6 ::1/128 scope host
       valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever
2: eth0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc mq state UP group default qlen 1000
    link/ether dc:a6:32:fe:78:a6 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
    inet 192.168.10.23/24 brd 192.168.10.255 scope global eth0
       valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever
inet6 2a02:2f04:d405:f500:def5:3fff:fefe:78b6/64 scope global dynamic mngtmpaddr
       valid_lft 2591805sec preferred_lft 604605sec
    inet6 fe80::dea6:32ff:fefe:78b6/64 scope link
       valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever
3: wlan0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 qdisc noop state DOWN group default qlen 1000
    link/ether dc:a6:32:fe:34:a7 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
4: docker0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc noqueue state UP group default
    link/ether 02:42:0c:ef:9b:08 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
    inet 172.17.0.1/16 brd 172.17.255.255 scope global docker0

in this example the IP of eth0 is 192.168.10.23 and the MAC of eth0 is dc:a6:32:fe:78:a6

So my IP Adress on my Router is 192.168.178.20

EDIT: Changed the IP Adress cause i resetted my Router bc of this issue

Xorfee commented 2 years ago

did a new reinstall now with WIFI instead of Ethernet.. still no connection. Changed IP Adress again.

Fresh install just with updates and Host install ... no luck at all

Xorfee commented 2 years ago

EDIT: Link Button didnt worked on my PC.. went to my phone instead .. works now -.-

mariusmotea commented 2 years ago

LinkButton don't work if the browser were the button is clicked has a clock offset bigger than 30 seconds. Check the time on the Raspberry PI and your PC. Probably the PC is in different timezone or has no NTP synchronization .

Xorfee commented 2 years ago

Yes u r right... my clock wasn´t correct
