poland, i just bought, now im searching for some type of gas counter :-)

Reed counter? I use a simple variant with cc2530 to count my gas counter.

cc2530 will drill battery to fast

It's not a problem of the cc2530. On a cold day you have 2000-4000 events (open+close) so you won't find a device battery based which lasts long. Why not ac-powered? Btw: i think we should stop being OT
