2 years ago Try pushing any button on the remote after you set the endpoint setting (doesn't need to be the same button you're trying to set).
This consistently works for me.
If the remote is close to the controller, I don't need to do this and the setting 'just works'
When I change one of the endpoint settings, either switch_type or switch_action I get an error:
