Closed WajahatKanju closed 7 months ago

WajahatKanju commented 8 months ago

Summary

This pull request addresses the recent shutdown of djangosites.org by removing the now obsolete "Django-powered Sites" link from the Community page. The website, as mentioned in the "Farewell, Djangosites" article, is no longer available. Resolves issue #1470

Changes Made

Context

The djangosites.org website has been shut down, and keeping the link in the Django documentation is misleading. This change improves the user experience by removing deprecated and non-functional links, aligning with the community's consensus.

@WajahatKanju

Can I ask you to update the PR to point to builtwithdjango.com instead of removing completely? https://forum.djangoproject.com/t/replace-django-powered-sites-link-in-community-sections/27562

If you don't have the time, let me know, I ca do this myself. Thanks a ton in advance.

@rasulkireev I've updated it to point to builtwithdjango.com instead of removing the link completely. Please review the changes, and if everything looks good. If you have any further feedback or if there's anything else I can help with, please let me know.

Thanks!
