Protect main branch #19

I've been working on the main branch, but when I'm done with the bootcamp stuff / have it deployed, I think I want to work on different branches / at the end of this week, I want to leave it open with further development ideas described; at this point I think will protect the main.

I think I've done this but I need to double check! I've also done this wrong a few times (get lost when trying to 'assign' a protection rule) - so worth doing a quick guide (maybe make it part of a 'git collaboration basics' guide)
