Update err-derive requirement from 0.2 to 0.3 #12

Closed dependabot-preview[bot] closed 3 years ago

dependabot-preview[bot] commented 3 years ago

Updates the requirements on err-derive to permit the latest version.

Release notes

Sourced from err-derive's releases.

v0.3.0

I am happy to announce the 0.3.0 release of err-derive, a minimal approach to implementing std::Error for your error types.

  • For variants whose type contains Box and which are marked as #[source] or #[from], there will now be two From implementations generated, one for the boxed type and one for the unboxed type. This should hopefully make it more ergonomic to work with boxed error types. (!21, thanks to @mullr)

While I am the only active maintainer of err-derive, I have decided to move my crates to the thiserror crate instead of err-derive. thiserror has fewer dependencies, is a little easier to use, and is much more popular (reducing dependency proliferation). I will still be doing required maintenance on err-derive; consider this a soft deprecation.

Looks like err-derive is no longer a dependency, so this is no longer needed.
