Growlnotify 1.3/Growl 1.3.1: error + crash on Mac OS X 10.7.2 #402

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Download and install Growl 1.3.1 from the App Store
2. Download and install GrowlNotify 1.3
3. Restart and open Terminal.app 
4. Execute growlnotify -m "foo"

What is the expected output?
A notification saying "foo"

What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

After executing the growlnotify command once, Growl crashes (it does not appear 
in the menu bar anymore). By executing the growlnotify command after Growl 
crashed, one obtains:

Okay, an update to Growl 1.3.2 solved the problem completely.

I have Growl 2.0.1 and I have the same problem?!
