Thanks for the quick reply. You're right - the audio notification for Capster
was set in Growl - I had forgotten that. Apparently the setting was changed
when I installed the paid version of Capster so that the sound disappeared. I
don't remember setting it up originally, but I do remember that I switched to
Capster because Caps Warn was no longer reliable. While it may or may not be
possible to set Capster to make an audio notification, it's probably worth
explaining somewhere that such a notification can be selected in Growl. Thanks
for reminding me. I'm not really very proficient with Growl, which may account
for my forgetting how I set the notification for Capster. I find the audio
notification particularly useful for the Caps Lock key because I don't normally
keep an eye on the menu bar while I'm working, so a change there can go
unnoticed. The Growl notification is a little more noticeable, but I often
ignore them if I'm busy. So the audio notification is the best solution for me
with Capster.
