I put together a patch with the files needed to generate a Debian / Ubuntu 
package for your 1.3.1 release. If you don't want or need it, just close this!

I'm actually trying to working towards getting 1.4 released soon, I'll try to 
get this or some form of dpkg support into 1.4 for you.

Done in revision ee48e0802055.

It adds a debian build dir generated by stdeb, and using pycentral. 

Should work to build packages for Squeeze or newer; or equivalent Ubuntu.
