Only enabling SD-card playback and better loop functionality

Firstly, hats off to a great project!

Wondering if you have thought about creating a version of this project that only improves on the existing hardware without the need for new screen?

The only two features I would like to have is

• SD-card playback
• Better looping functionality, i.e loop quantize of some sort.

I have only recently started looking at your source code. Is this even possible to do? Happy to help out if you need help in such a project.
