Making BIM more "connectivist" would mean expanding its capability to support selection and feeding forward.

One option might be as a DS106 style blog aggregator as described/required by Martin Weller in this post http://nogoodreason.typepad.co.uk/no_good_reason/2013/01/twitter-is-your-it-support.html

That is, I want the contributors to register their blog, and for posts they tag appropriately to repost automatically in the course blog.

Wonder if it's possible (or even preferable) to have the re-blogged stuff appear in a Moodle blog? Probably not a great choice. Perhaps as an RSS feed that is picked up by another bit of software?

Similarly, having the ability for some people to select what gets aggregated.

Take a look at the idea of cooked feeds http://davidtjones.wordpress.com/2009/03/02/some-potential-updates-to-bam-a-step-towards-breaking-the-lmscms-orthodoxy/

The idea of auto-generated assessment and/or analytics around reflection e.g. this paper http://ceur-ws.org/Vol-931/paper8.pdf
