I tried to sketch something today for the website. Everything is pretty rough, cause i was packed this week, but I tried to work on a few ideas
Regarding the beginning of the website we can use the flip animation you were working with in big.
Regarding the interface, I was thinking that we can stick to the screen the buttons try, buy, pdf and djr (which will led to your website). I tried to positioned them in the four corners. It could work but we have to see how it interacts with other elements.
I would have a “history section” were we talk a bit about the design. The text are taken from your websites and are placeholders, but we can recycle some stuff since some people maybe be not know the original design
I did the original comic in ascii art, i think it works pretty well and as soon as we mention the source there shouldn’t be any copyrights problems. I can ask tho if you want
Regarding the fliboard it self (this is a quick sketch) we can make it interactive. allowing people to change parameter on the typeface, play with features and using all caps, titling case or lowercase
Some basic stuff for the specimen, nothing crazy. We need to decide how much of this we want it
We can play with the quite useless glyphs that many sites have, by making it interactive to the pointer. Maybe letters can also get bigger… or rotate… or change colours… many possibilities
Regarding the colours everything is temporary. Today I just worked on “blocks” rather than the whole website also to make it easier for you to select what to work on and what you wanna choose
We can give the option to the user to change the color of the background and of the text
