Raspberry b+ no usb and no ethernet #95

Hi, I am new in yocto and I tried to build the rpi-basic-image for the B+ model. It seems that I don't have usb and ethernet port running. Do you know if there are some minnor changes to apply to your meta-raspberry to build an image for the B+ model ? I would be happy to try it of you can give me some advice ...

Same issue for me, tried both daisy and dylan branches. The log-in shows on an HDMI connected monitor, but keyboard doesn't work and no lights on the ethernet port. I don't have a serial debug cable (yet) to work out if its just those ports that aren't running or the whole thing has crashed.

I don't have this model yet and the current BSP layer doesn't support it. Patches are welcomed. Please use mailing list for further discussions (README).

Thanks for that. I think the problem is due to the change of the LAN device which includes both Ethernet and USB ports, and is different on the B+. I've had a good look through the pi recipe and cannot see where this is set, I'd be grateful if you could point me in the right direction and then I can try and address this.

Andrei,

I managed to get this working on the B+, I copied the bootcode.bin, start, fixup files over from a working NOOBS build and the Yocto build now boots with working USB and Ethernet. Apparently the B+ board removed the timing crystal that drives the LAN chip, the clock signal now comes directly from the SoC, and the latest firmware handles this.

I'll work out how to patch this and send this to the mailing list.
