Hi Dan,

I see you are interested in x3270... Do you think there would be a way to integrate x3270 into a VS Code extension to give direct access to the z/OS mainframe from that environment? Perhaps through a "PseudoTerminal" VS Code encapsulating the user's keyboard interactions? We have a real need for this type of integration to complement the possibilities of Zowe Explorer. In another context, this time Eclipse, the supplier of our debug products, has integrated x3270 into a Java plugin.

hey @FALLAI-Denis - I've seen a few similar ideas explored in the past. So far though, they don't get much beyond a proof of concept stage... I'll be sure to reach out if I learn of more projects along the lines of what you're seeking.
