There aren't many dependencies here, so I would simply take Ubuntu's package for trusty and install it. Your ubuntu is older than trusty, but this will work just fine. Go here:

Then download the package by clicking on 'all' and selecting a mirror. Then 'sudo dpkg -i feedgnuplot*.deb' on the result.
