Can't get bluetooth voice commands to work #200

I've installed LCR-F 1.0 over the latest froyo leak. I can't seem to initiate
voice commands via the bluetooth action button. I can short press the button to
pause/resume music playback but long press seems to redial the last number
dialled. Nothing gives me a prompt to say a command.

I am just using a cheapie no-name bluetooth stereo headset that does not come
with much of a manual. Basically, only the main button does anything with the
phone function. Would a better headset work? Does anyone have a list of
headsets known to work 100% with the Acer Liquid E and froyo?

I noticed there is no Bluetooth Voice Dialer app on the phone. Is that a
problem or is it something else? I've also tried Vlingo and Choice Dialer but
there doesn't seem to be anything reasonable that lets me dial without grabbing
my phone, which I can't do while driving. I guess Vlingo does have an 'InCar'
option but I don't think that is a long-term solution.

Thanks for your help!

I love your work but please make the voice dial command work from my mw600
erricsson bluetooth headset.
It works from my old G1 running the latest nightly cyanogen so I do believe you
can make it happen to. I love you :)

I have found over the web this .apk, extract from CM (don't hate me :P). I have
pushed it in /system/app and reboot... if i push one time the bluetooth headset
multifunctional button, it start succesfully :D you can try to integrate it
into your LCR-F rom? ;)

I gave this a try but it does not work for me. The behavior when I hit the
bluetooth button is the same. Any suggestions? Thanks.

hello, I'm also interested in this feature.
I've downloaded the .apk and it seems to be working (when i'm pressinf the
headset button it asks me to talk) but recognition is not working or a process
(.voicedialer something) is crashing.
I would love to send logs but I don't know how to send them.
If someone could advise me thanks.
Merci encore pour cette release.
