"Installing the Google Plugin for Eclipse from a local update archive" has no sdk #227

1. I'm installing the GPE using
https://developers.google.com/eclipse/docs/install-from-zip

2. I have downloaded the
http://dl.google.com/eclipse/plugin/core/4.3/zips/gpe-e43-latest-updatesite.zip

3. I try to install it using the "Install New Software..." menu

There is no SDK in this archive. This is not equivalent to installing the gpe
with the update site.
You should probably mention another step in this installation description or
complete the archive file.

I use Eclipse Kepler on Win7.

This is only for information, not really a problem for me.

Thanks for submitting this issue.

We intentionally put only the core GPE in the archived update site, to keep the
archive small.

However, you are correct that the documentation needs to be clarified. Step 6.a
in the instructions for using the zip archive
(https://developers.google.com/eclipse/docs/install-from-zip) misleadingly
suggest that the archive includes the GWT and GAE SDKs. We will fix that.
