I actually really like the emoji part of this idea. I do love feedback, but I was really disliking the idea of full blown comments or anything like that, which I can't really think of a neat way of including on the site without complicating the visual style and user interaction. The idea being that hopefully full wordle conversations take place in more apt social media platforms. (Plus the ability to enter arbitrary text on a platform should really come packaged with some form of available moderation) However emoji reacts could be clean, simple and allow at least a large portion of the emotional expression I imagine most users would have.
My slight problem with emoji is that they don't map as cleanly (imo) onto the responses I'd like to give? (And also emoji just seem slightly overdone and kitschy?).
A proposal for the visual style for the comments which exist; I was thinking of a mini popup icon next to the row, in a similar style to the "add a comment" icon from things like google docs
Seeing other people's guesses in Wordle invokes the following emotions; "that's a good word!" "why did you guess that?" and "that's not a word >:(". It'd be cool to be able to react to people's guesses with these emotions (or just emoji/text, if that's easier)
