Hi! When are you going to release universal analytics library for AS3? Seems
you had plenty of time since March 31, 2014?

a universal analytics library is still in the doing but I wanted to make it
work on the command line and the server side too (eg. I want the code to be
compatible for not only Flash and AIR but also RedTamarin).

If you had been a bit more curious you could have found this
https://code.google.com/p/as3-universal-analytics/wiki/SimplestTracker
which is available since Jul 14, 2014
(alternatively you can also find an implementation in PHP here
http://pastebin.com/PQCRcJXq )

Also, considering that google code will close shop some more work
need to be done to move to github.

That said, I do all this in my free time, I don't work for google nor adobe, so
I had put the primary focus on my own open source project Redtamarin (running
AS3 on the command line and server side) to reach a state where this analytics
library could also work server side.

For ex, with a project like as3shebang (https://github.com/Corsaair/as3shebang)
not only I can execute ActionScript 3.0 shell scripts but I can make them send
hits to Google Analytics, that's server side analytics in AS3 for ya ;).
