TestSet installer MSI does not include a default XML configuration file for the test set. #37

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install TestSetInstaller_1.0.0_vcredist_x86.zip
2. Look for file with extension .xml in the folder where the program installs

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Expect to see default XML file for the test tool so the test tool would run.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

- DNP TestSetInstaller 1.0 for Windows, on Windows 7, 64 bit, SP1

Please provide any additional information below.

- It's helpful that the .docx manual included with the installer says that the
program is ready to go after installation, if only that were true. No sample
XML file = very hard to try to use this tool.

Here is a complete list of files that were installed on my system:

The links installed with the testset will automatically generate default config
files upon the first run (Defauly DNP3 Master/Slave). Default config files can
also be generated with the -G as documented in the docx or using testset.exe
-help.

I will look at wording on docs before next release to see if this can be made
more clear.

Can I suggest that you make the test-tool itself say "Defaults not found, would
you like to generate one?". Links in the GUI/Shell/ProgramManager area are not
very discoverable.

The generated XML is in the following location (on Windows 7):
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\dnp3\

It would be helpful for the doc file to include a few variations of XML files.

Thanks,
Joe
