Sorry for the late processing, I totally missed this PR.

I tried the demo UI installer and when trying to launch it on my Mac Apple Studio (M2) I got the message that the application was corrupt and could not be launched. I will wait with the merge until this is resolved.

You might want to consider using "jdeploy" for the distribution.

autumoswitzerland commented 1 month ago

Oh, what an unpleasant but very important feedback! Thanks. I was pretty sure the bundles packed on Intel-mac should work on the M2 too. I will investigate. PS: This package works fine on Intel-mac.

autumoswitzerland commented 1 month ago

PS: I guess Rosetta has been removed on macOS Sonoma. Interesting is that you don't get a more specific message, like this binary doesn't support the machine architecture or similar

autumoswitzerland commented 1 month ago

@dlemmermann : arm64 package is ready at: https://products.autumo.ch/modules/overview#at_ui

PS: Not yet jDeploy (several reasons why).

I now tried to install it at home on my intel Mac and I get an error message when trying to launch it that says that the application is corrupt and can not be executed. OS: Sonoma 14.5.

I double checked the app and it is definitely using the correct architecture for my iMacPro.

So all good now?

Or is there still a misunderstanding? If so -->

The only build that was available beforehand was the Intel-version, because I thought "Rosetta" still works for arm64-Macs (M1,2,3).

I then made an arm64-Build for the new M-Chip-Macs. I added the arm64-Build to the website: So there are 2 builds now for macs! The Intel as well the arm64 Builds have been BOTH tested on target platforms (Intel and arm64)!

Sorry to ask, but did you now mess up the builds on your environments or when downloading somehow? Did I mess something up?

I will test again after my holidays. I am totally aware of the requirements for different platforms and I have not been able to execute your application on my two Macs. One is Intel-based, one is an M2.
