The current project name 'Cladura' is a portmanteau of Clojure, Cards and Durable. A cooler name is highly needed. Any input is appreciated. Go crazy :)

FlashForward ( Of course the name really should reflect the audience you are trying to reach. Are you trying to reach clojure developers? or people who want to learn stuff? )

oskarth commented 9 years ago

Reified (reference to Clojure reify and to make a memory more real).

Clash = Clojure + Flash

Expojure = Exposure + Clojure. You need to be exposed to material multiple times to remember it. Except, hmm, there's already a company with this name http://www.expojure.com/

Thanks for the suggestions all! :) Some nice ideas there.

The app is for everyone and they shouldn't have to care in what language it is written, so I'd rather not make a too obvious or contrived reference to Clojure. I like the idea that I'm using persistent data structures everywhere and that it's related to memory. Haven't been able to leverage that in a creative way though.

memoeyes - obvious FP reference, but friendly to anyone not in the know. A bit cute, too, with an Elmer Fudd feel about it.

dmarjenburgh commented 9 years ago

Thanks everyone for the input. It definitely helped to get the inspirational juices going.

Things I came up with as a result: retent.io remember.it memwise

I really like that last one. What do you think?

dmarjenburgh commented 9 years ago

I'm going with MemWise. Also sounds a bit like memoize for the FP reference.

Again, thanks everyone for the input.
