Deleting completing recurring tasks #832

I prefer to delete the completed instance of a recurring task and not have it saved as "completed". Is this possible? In most cases, I have no need to save the date and time for completing an instance of a recurring tasks such as paying bills etc. etc. Is this possible?

At present that's not possible. It has been requested before to delete completed tasks automatically (either instantly or after a certain amount of time). I don't see why this shouldn't be possible for recurring tasks. At present my idea is to create some sort of task automation extension (either within OpenTasks or as a separate app) which acts upon task updates. Deleting completed tasks could be one of the actions it provides.
