Standardize Sinitic varieties #128

  1. gan, wuu, hsn (Xiang): use ɲ instead of n̠ʲ to be consistent across Sinitic varieties Reason: The spirit of IPA suggests that we use fewer diacritics where possible.

  2. gan, hak, nan, wuu: mark all syllabic nasals with a diacritic below Previously, engma as a syllabic consonant had the diacritic below: ŋ̍

  3. all Sinitic varieties: for diphthongs, switch from phonological (vowel + glide / glide + vowel) to phonetic (2 vowels) representation to be consistent across varieties. Wiktionary appears to be using a phonological transcription of diphthongs.

I am unsure of Mandarin, though. Should the following be classified as diphthongs?

ya,iä ia,yä ie,jɛ ye,jɛ
