Slight suggestion, feel free to ignore: Prepending a timestamp to the log message (within the log_helpers info method) would increase usefulness if the standard logging library isn't going to be used.

@RobertD502 - I just submitted a new PR for this. I agree that logs without timestamps and formatted into tables are not the most user-friendly in other analysis platforms.
