Failed push leaves origin tags in funny place #464

Do a push on an http repo, then fail to enter in the right password. Push doesn't happen. Then try again and get it right. It goes, but then origin/branchname label appears next to both old commit and new.

I'm seeing this bug sometimes even when I've got the password correctly. screenshot from 2016-12-06 11-58-24
