Threading errors in remove #594

Using the remove button under the working tree causes threading errors, both when the file to be removed is staged and when it's not.

Happy to report that bug is no longer present; something else must have fixed this. I did checkout an old version from June 13, and verified that the bug was in fact there. It is no longer present in current version.
