Yuyi, on the other hand, it might be worth it setting something explicitly in the repository as well. Otherwise developers don't really know which workflow to use and what the guidelines are ;-)

For this repository, I think it would be quite useful to have something like what we created for WMCore (which is in need of some updates TBF!): https://github.com/dmwm/WMCore/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.rst
