App seems broken... :-( #9

As soon as I discovered the existence of this brilliant mod I wanted to give it a try. Unfortunately, it seems broken. As reported earlier, the dashboard shows that trainer data is picked up correctly (W, cadence, etc.) but the car remains stationary. I used the supplied controller template .ini files to ensure the mapping to vjoy is correct. I tried installing older versions of Vjoy but to no avail.

@TimoWintz @dmwnz do you have an idea what might be causing the issue? 🙏

Hello,

I just tested and it seems to work on my side. Since the app is correctly detecting power and seems to connect vjoy correctly I think it's a problem with your configuration of AC.

You can check the pedals widget to see if there is any input at all. Did you enable automatic shifting? Otherwise it won't work.

If you use content manager for AC you should see something like this in the controller configuration with vjoy properly configured in AC. Note vjoy in the controller list on the right and he "vjoy device" on each axis.

Hello, having exactly the same problem. -No other controller (Wheel) connected. -Ant+ data are correctly streaming (SimCycling v0.4) -Vjoy binding is tested and recognized with the feeder (Vjoy version 2.1.9) without starting SimCycling -Auto gear (Ctrl+G to check it also in game) is selected -Provided profile (Axle 3 and 1) for the controller is used. But the car is not moving. I also tested on a fresh AC install on another computer. The odd thing is I tried it few days ago with no problems, Steam updated itself (and something in AC too??) and now I've no way to make it works Windows
again. Is it possible to investigate a solution? Thanks! Is it possible to investigate a solution? Thanks!Terminal_Mdy7Mm7hoa again. Is it possible to investigate a solution? Thanks!

If you use the vjoy feeder to try to control the car (with the app off) does it do anything?

On the app when you pedal does it show non zero speed in the speed field?

The configuration seems OK. It should be working... Sorry but at this point I cannot think of anything else to test. Maybe a fresh reinstall of the Vjoy software and drivers? Odd car and track combination? Antivirus software? Wild guesses...

Which vJoy version could/would you suggest? I've installed 2.1.9.1

I'll try different cars/tracks, last working combination was Lotus Elise and Targa Florio before Steam upgrade.

AV is "Windows default" on both Computers (one for training and one as desktop).

Thank you, it's a real pity to miss such a great app, Wahoo Climb is (was) working perfectly, even better than in any other training app (I guess because altitude smoothness/profile/points are well made in some AC tracks).

The version seem fine; last time I tried was with the same. Unfortunately, I don't have the hardware anymore to test on my side and try to reproduce what you are experiencing.

This worked for me: set environment variable "AC_ROOT" to AC's root folder path and reboot. "Found AC: " indicates that the application was not able to determine AC's root folder. Might be worth adding to the readme @TimoWintz and probably also add a console message if the path couldn't be found.

I confirm it worked, thank you!
