Dear Maria, Thank you for generating nice service. I tried to use Aseemblytics and found this service.

I am trying to compare BioNano and Hi-C (5 different version) by using nucmer and DOT. Is there any way to download whole dot plot as PNG or PDF? Collapsing short contigs name and interactive sorting will help others but at this moment export graphic file will help me a lot. Thank you. Won

Hi! Sorry about the lack of responses here. To answer your questions, unfortunately Dot uses a mix of both SVG and Canvas (both HTML graphics elements) that are overlaid on each other, and I could not find a good solution to save them together into any kind of image file. Canvas was necessary to scale the visualization to many more data points than SVG can handle, but unfortunately saving the image to SVG is therefore impossible. Other image formats are theoretically possible, but I could not get it working when I tried. Contributions are welcome if anyone finds a way!

Note that I left DNAnexus, and this repo will be archived soon, so I have created a fork and will attempt to maintain Dot over at https://github.com/MariaNattestad/dot. Please allow some time for me to triage the issues, but otherwise feel free to bug me with the same or new issues over there.
