Complex Forwarder Still Fails to Compile #20

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Select "Complex Forwarder"
2.Fill in the information
3.Get an extremely annoying error message over and over again...

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

For the program to create a forwarder, not fail

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

2.0, latest devKITs and the libOGC from this site. Vista 64x

Please provide any additional information below.

Sorry to post this again, but it was removed last time before I could tell
you that I couldn't find the source code you were talking about, and also
that I have no clue wiht I would do with it.

Perhaps I'm missing a file somewhere, something you might have forgotten
that you need for this feature to work? I'm at a loss and really need help.

You could try this:
-Download the attached archive and extract it somewhere (It's the forwarders
source)
-Open a command prompt and navigate into the extracted directory (where you
find a
"Makefile")
-Type "make" (without quotes) and see what error it gives you

It's compiling fine. So it should with CustomizeMii then, as it's kinda doing
the
same as you did. I'm really clueless why it does not...

Do I need the GX Source in my devkit folder maybe? Or is it built in to the
program?

Original comment by betterar...@gmail.com on 28 Dec 2009 at 9:59

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
It's built in. Do you have the latest ForwardMii and CustomizeMii versions?

ForwardMii 1.01
CustomizeMii 2.0

Is there anymore information I can provide you with? I really want to get this
to work.

Ok, you could try the attached one.
Btw. do you have a space in your Windows username?

I get the same error. Yeas, I do have a space in my username.

I guess that's the error, though I'm confused that it still doesn't work.
I'll create a Windows user with space in the name and see what I can do to fix
it.

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Really? I'll do the same with an account without a space to check it out to.

Son of a... I can't believe that was the problem the whole time... I'm not mad,
but I
feel stupid. Do you think if I change my username my other account that it
would work?

(Can't figur out how to edit comments)

Never mind, I changed the name and it didn't fix anything, but it works on the
other
account, so that was the error.

I had the same error with the account with a space, but I fixed it. I'll upload
it in
a few seconds :)

Works like a charm, thanks for helping and listening to my semi-coherent
