i never met dan but i distinctly remember feeling like he was always fighting for the little guy by building critical features that couldnt fit in the core framework for a variety of reasons. and he was always super responsive and would act very swiftly. i can only imagine that this rare combination of determination and kindness was present in his personal life as well. sad to hear that he passed and i hope that his family will find peace soon
