Chromecast on separate IOT net work not discovered #3

Installed the plugin, but it does not discover my chromecasts that are on the IOT network (VLAN), Probably a pychromecast issue not a plugin issue I assume.

Chromecasts use mDNS (zeroconf) to be discoverd, a quick google (ironic?) search around VLANs showed isses and suggested solutions for this.

Normally it seemed to do with the router blocking multicast traffic.

My plugin uses a Chromecast connection library developed by someone else so I'm not an expert

Got it. mDNS and chronecasts are working perfectly fine in my IOT vlan with Netflix Spotify YouTube.. so that is why I had hoped the discovery in pychromecast and thus the plugin would work also just fine.

in pfsense install avahi plugin. and setup. works fine for discovery
